The apron is made of 1.1-1.2 mm thick cowhide leather, which makes it durable and flexible.

It provides excellent protection against mechanical injuries and splashes occurring during welding, sparks, and flames.

The apron is fastened with an adjustable strap at the back and worn around the neck. The mounting rivets are made of steel and may rust when exposed to weather conditions.
